Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14-year Single Malt
Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14-year Single Malt is matured in traditional oak whisky casks for 14-years and then finished in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. The result is a whisky that has a traditional smooth, honeyed character that is married with notes of toffee and a hint of fruit.
Nose– Rich, sweet and creamy toffee with fresh fruit notes.
Taste– Vanilla, sweet oak and fruit.
Finish– Soft and lingering.
About the Balvenie Distillery
In 1892, William Grant began converting an 18th century mansion (Balvenie New House) into a distillery. In 1893, the first distillation took place at the Balvenie Distillery. The Balvenie Distillery has been owned and managed by the same independent family company for five generations (William Grant & Sons).
Tobin’s Review 4.5 out of 5
Balvenie’s Caribbean Cask 14-year Single Malt has a nice bronze hue with a light black cherry nose. This whisky is smooth with sweet cherry wood, a little caramel and vanilla that ends with cherry flavors. This is a delicious whisky!
