Description:
Glenmorangie The Original 10 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky has delicate notes of candied apple, light toffee and pear drops with additional nuances of rose petals, carnations and light toasted malt. The Scotch is grainy and moderately sweet, with a burst of red pepper backed by tastes of pears, peaches and mushrooms.

Nose– Citrus, ripening peaches and aromas of vanilla.
Taste– Vanilla on the tongue which follows with a burst of flowery fruitiness.
Finish– Hints of orange and peach.

About The Glenmorangie Distillery
The Glenmorangie Distillery was founded in the Scottish Highlands in 1843 by William Matheson. The distillery would start operations in 1849. In 1887 the Glenmorangie Distillery Company Limited was founded. In 1918, 60% of the distillery was sold Durham (a whisky dealing company) and 40% to Macdonald (who would later on take full control.) The Macdonald family would do a great job of expanding the facility, production, etc. but would sell the company in 1997 to Moet Hennessey who are the current owners of the Distillery.

Glenmorangie The Original has a light gold color. I pick up aromas of light wood with a hint of a sweet molasses smell. It is soft on the tongue with oak and earthy flavors. It is a little nutty with a slight hint of vanilla and a citrus oak ending.
