Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon
Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon is produced by the hand selection of barrels by the Master Distillers. There expertise and attention to detail give this bourbon the right balance of rich flavor and full body. Each small batch carries a warm spice and subtle smoke flavors.
Nose– Delightfully complex with notes of vanilla bean, sweet fruit and fresh mint.
Taste– Smooth and warm, pleasantly woody with accents of spice, smoke and nutmeg.
Finish– Long, sweet and slightly toasty.
About Heaven Hill Distillery
Heaven Hill Distilleries was founded in Bardstown, Kentucky in 1935 by the Shapira family. Their goal was to produce and market Bourbon and premium American Whiskeys. Their first barrel would be produced on 12/13/1935, and it would be named Bourbon Falls (the company’s first label.) In 1946 Earl Beam from the Jim Beam company would become Heaven Hill’s Master Distiller. In 1957 they would introduce Evan Williams Bourbon as their flagship brand. Earl would pass the torch to his son Parker in 1975. The company would introduce Elijah Craig in 1986, and this was the first “small batch” Bourbon available. The distillery would acquire brands in the 90’s adding to their product line.
Tobin’s Review 4 out of 5
Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon has a rich vibrant caramel color. I pick up a hint of sweet wood on the nose. This bourbon is smooth without much of a burn in the throat. It actually finishes with a little hint of sweetness. It’s almost like a sugar water and oak taste, which produces a smooth finished product. No rocks or water are needed with this bourbon!
