About the Bulleit Distillery
Thomas E. Bulleit Jr. started the Bulleit Distilling Company in 1987. He left a successful law practice to revive his great-great-grandfather’s whiskey recipe, which was a high-rye whiskey. Bulleit has two distillery stops along the Kentucky Trail (Stitzel-Weller Distillery and the Bulleit Distilling Company.) Currently Bulleit is produced at the Kirin Brewing Company Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky for the Diageo conglomerate.

American Rye Whiskey Reviews:
Tobin’s Review 3 out of 5
Bulleit Rye Whiskey has a caramel hue with an ethanol aroma. I do pick up a little hint of sweetness as well. The whiskey is soft, smooth with a slight wood flavor. It’s not a ‘drink it neat’ type of whiskey, as the flavors are not that robust.
