Bulleit Bourbon is a unique blend of rye, corn and barley malt along with special strains of yeast and pure Kentucky limestone filtered water. This results in a Bourbon that has a bold spicy character with clean and smooth finish.
Nose– Gentle spice, sweet oak.
Taste– Maple, oak, nutmeg and toffee.
Finish– Long, dry and satiny.
About the Bulleit Distillery
Thomas E. Bulleit Jr. started the Bulleit Distilling Company in 1987. He left a successful law practice to revive his great-great-grandfather’s whiskey recipe, which was a high-rye whiskey. Bulleit has two distillery stops along the Kentucky Trail (Stitzel-Weller Distillery and the Bulleit Distilling Company.) Currently Bulleit is produced at the Kirin Brewing Company Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky for the Diageo conglomerate.
Tobin’s Review 3 out of 5
Bulleit Bourbon has a nice light bronze hue with sweet and slightly woody aromas. The bourbon is smooth, slightly sweet and sugary. It finishes with a sweet wood flavor.
