About Casa Sauza
In 1873, Don Cenobio Sauza acquired La Antigua Cruz distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. That very same year, they were the first distillery to export tequila to the United States. The company was family run until 1990, in which Casa Pedro Domecq became the sole owner. Casa Domecq would merge with Allied Lyons in 1994, before being bought out in 2005 by Beam Global Spirits and Wine. Beam Inc. was purchased in 2014 by Suntory Holdings Limited who is the current owner.
Sauza is still produced in the original distillery and they export their tequila to more than 73 countries.
